Let’s Be Friends Storytime is a national event in support of Autism Awareness Month, taking place at Barnes & Noble stores throughout April. The purpose of these special events is to raise awareness about autism, a neurobiological disorder that affects 1 in 150 individuals in the U.S.
Barnes & Noble is partnering with Autism Speaks for these events, a national organization dedicated to raising awareness about autism spectrum disorders, and to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism.
